Acceptable Use Policy

 

The "Account Holder" is the individual that is responsible for and/or originally purchased the account!

The "Authorized agent for the Account Holder" is a person designated by the Account Holder that is
authorized to use the account and has been identified, in writing, to TNGShells management prior
to that person use of any TNGShells resources.

1.) No sharing accounts! No one except the Account Holder, or authorized agent for the Account
Holder is allowed to use the account. In the event someone is found sharing accounts,
the account will be terminated immediately and the home directory will be deleted without
any further notice!

2.) The Account Holder, or authorized agent for the Account Holder, may not sublet the account.
The Account Holder, or authorized agent for the Account Holder, may not sell, trade, or transfer
the account, in part or otherwise, without the prior consent of TNGShells.

3.) No unauthorized use of system files or files owned by other users which include (but are not limited to):
     3.A) Files located anywhere on the machine that is not in your /home directory.
     3.B) Basically, if you didn't create it, upload it, download it, or extract it
             to the account holders /home directory... DON'T TOUCH IT!

4.) No Account Holder, or authorized agent for the Account Holder, may use any server,
service or resource to gain access to any network or system inside/outside TNGShells.

5.) The Account Holder, or authorized agent for the Account Holder, may not use/misuse TNGShells in
any way that includes but is not limited to:

A.) Interfering with TNGShells Services employees in any way while performing their necessary functions.
B.) Interfering with other users and their access to TNGShells services or resources.
C.) Excessive use of any hardware, or bandwidth so as to disrupt or limit TNGShells day-to-day operations.
D.) The use/misuse of hardware or software that could cause data corruption/loss or damage to hardware/software.
E.) Use/misuse of any resources in a way that would reflect badly on TNGShells.
F.) Store or distribute any illegal materials/software on TNGShells servers.

 

6.) No using a bnc as an ircd! Two simultaneous connections to a bnc is all that is permitted.

7.) The "NO's" of TNGShells...

NO installing software, other than eggdrop or psybnc, without previous permission from TNGShells.
NO using your account or resources for, or being involved in, takeovers on ANY IRC Network.
NO using your account or resources to hold channels on ANY IRC Networks that have already been takenover.
NO using your account to FLOOD users on IRC networks or to prevent someone from accessing IRC/Internet services.
NO Pornographic material of ANY KIND!
NO software that violates any license or copyright laws.
NO transmitting or relaying unsolicited email or SPAM OR Phishing.
NO warez, iso's or illegally obtained software/programs/files.
NO energymech bots or emechs.
NO DOS programs, including mass ping, icmp, etc.
NO port or proxy scanners of any kind.
NO FTP servers or bouncers (FXP), WEB bouncers, BitTorrent files, teamspeak voice over ip servers, game servers, etc...
 

Breaking ANY of the aforementioned rules is a good way to get your account terminated immediately and without notice.

Any account terminated due to breaking one of the aforementioned rules will NOT receive a refund of any kind!
